All these reports will be circulated at least internally, probably by being posted on the WWW, and are likely to be subsequently used in reports to the commission.
Indicative lengths for these reports are...
[?? any suggestions?] 1000 words per 6 months of work for (a); for (b), a
short (300 word?) description of the skill and some substantial examples of
data or other reports e.g. video tape of subjects, interview transcripts, raw
data from recall-precision tests, etc.; plus the materials for any training
exercises developed to pass on the skill to other researchers.
I suggest we maintain a Gauguin web site that includes and/or points to all these reports; and which maintains several indexes to them: by content (this could include other papers produced by member sites), by the name of each funded researcher, by site. This will help each of us to keep track of the network as a whole; it will allow the commission to see that we are active and show other people we are active without any extra work; it will provide the researchers with examples of other reports when they have to write their own. We need to consider whether and how we will provide examples of these reports at the start as a guide to the first funded researchers.
