Completed my PhD (2005) under the supervision of Prof. Vicki Bruce at the University of Stirling, looking at semantic aspects of face recognition.

I then worked as a postdoc here at Glasgow with Prof. Philippe Schyns for several years on a number of psychophysical and neuroimaging (fMRI) projects related to recognition. These often involved taking an information sampling (reverse correlation / classification image techniques) approach to determine what the important parameters of some task or brain signal are.

I am now working Dr. Lars Muckli in the CCNi - we are looking at the role of predictions made by the visual system (specifically the feedback to early visual areas) in the context of processing apparent motion and, in addition, naturalistic scenes (mainly using fMRI in conjunction with retinotopic mapping and pattern classifiers).
