Logistic mixed models to investigate implict and explicit belief tracking
We investigate the proposition of a two-systems Theory of Mind (ToM) in adults. N=45 participants predicted the choice of one of two players after observing several rounds in an animated card game. Binary data (on/off target) from initial gaze direction and choice predictions of each participant were recorded and served as implicit and explicit measures of mentalising. Results from logistic regression with mixed effects are compared with Bayesian logistic mixed models.
