What's new in the world of R, and what you're missing if you're not using it
For this first stats tea-taste meeting I will be reviewing some of the new developments over the past few years in the R statistical programming language and associated software. Among the developments I will focus on: support for literate programming through RMarkdown, web applications that dynamically interact with R, streamlining analyses using magrittr "pipe" syntax, improvements in getting data into R from Excel/SPSS or through web requests, and a new add-on package for analyzing eyetracking data. I will also discuss one thing has not changed: all of the amazing capabilities are available completely free of charge. So, why aren't you using it yet?
