The Human Connectome Project

“You are more than your genes. You are your connectome”. An introduction to a $38-million, 5-year, NIH research project running across multiple institutions, which aims to expose the neural pathways that underlie brain function and build a complete network map of anatomical and functional connectivity in the healthy human brain. This presentation will introduce the project and its divisions, discuss some problems associated with it and emphasise why anyone interested in neuroscience should get really excited about the Human Connectome Project.
