Equality and Diversity: Making Inclusivity a Real Priority in Higher Education Curricula

Higher Education is called upon to represent the best of society. Espousing critical thinking, inter-cultural awareness, and the capacity to respond to modern societal needs, the Academy in the UK is now attempting to engage with notions of inclusivity that take in a range of recent legislative changes.

This page of the site (will be under construction for a while I suspect) contains briefing sheets and materials that can be used when beginning the debate within institutions about Equality and Diversity. Please use and amend as useful (I'd appreciate it if you'd reference it though).

The first briefings sheets will be introductory. I'm hoping to put up subsequent ones that explore the critical theoretical issues and approaches to Equality and Diversity. This may take some time :-)
