KAGGLE DECMEG2014 : DECODING-THE-HUMAN-BRAIN

Kaggle DecMeg2014 Competition

In conjunction with the BioMag conference, Kaggle are running an open competition for the analysis of MEG data (https://www.kaggle.com/c/decoding-the-human-brain). Subjects were presented face vs scrambled face stimuli, and the goal of the competition is to predict from the MEG signal which stimulus was presented. Labelled examples from 16 subjects are provided, but predictions should be made on examples from 5 new subjects for which we have no labelled examples.

I will give an overview of the competition, show some example data and what I have tried so far, before soliciting other ideas on how to improve the results.
